NOTE: This module draws from my earlier work under Black Market Leadership. The ideas here predate Chaos Studies in Leadership and form the foundation that made this work possible.

Within essential tasks, responsibilities are clarified through two roles:

  • Main Effort (ME):
    The single person accountable for completing an objective or phase. They own the outcome, receive priority for support and resources, and are ultimately responsible for success or failure.

  • Supporting Effort (SE):
    Individuals who assist the main effort. Their work matters, but it is explicitly oriented toward helping the main effort succeed.
