This video frames communication as the glue that holds teams together. Every directive, adjustment, and decision depends on communication that conveys clear meaning. Despite this, everyday communication in organizations is often ineffective because people interpret the same words differently based on experience and context.
The core issue is not whether leaders communicate, but whether they communicate purposefully—in a way that directly connects words to strategy, execution, and outcomes. Most communication lacks this alignment, making it difficult to trace what is said back to what the organization is trying to achieve. This sets the stage for examining the consequences of communication that is disconnected from performance and direction.
